The SPORT Story
Serenity Sport is a great lighter weight yarn that I have had lots of fun with ‘going outside the lines.’ By that I mean, using it in ways that the label doesn’t indicate. I LOVE the incredible range of solid colors which continually inspire me to try new things.
Last winter, when I was appalled by the ugy ski hat my little girl was wearing (it SO clashed with her jacket!), I grabbed my Serenity Sport in a soft lime green, doubled it and paired it up with Chunky White to make this delicious cap.
I used double pointed needles to whip it up in no time.
Of course Serenity Sport is terrific for the usual fingerling weight projects: baby items, shawls, shrugs and spring tops. The draping effect is just beautiful. There is just the right blend of fibres to give garments shape without sacrificing the ‘hand’ of the projects.
This lavender shawl is a perfect example of what I mean.
