Moms And Respect

Moms like being moms...but they often feel like a doormat. That's the word from a survey conducted by the University of Connecticut and the University of Minnesota for The Motherhood Project. "Underappreciated" and "less valued by society" were the sentiments often expressed in the survey of 2000 mothers around the country. 81% say they are "very" satisfied with being a mom (the other 19% must have really rotten kids), but most moms would like to change the work part of their life. Asked what their ideal situation would be, 33% said working part-time, 30% said working from home (for pay), and 21% said not working at all. Nearly two thirds of those surveyed work (41% had full-time jobs, 21% worked part-time).

Where would you put yourself on the survey?
